Taking a hint from his biggest celebrity endorser Oprah Winfrey, who has actually given away brand new automobiles to her audiences just for attending her show, Barack Obama has announced plans to buy votes for cash. He’s proposed to create a new “Making Work Pay” tax credit of up to $1,000 for America’s working families. He claims that this tax credit will completely eliminate income taxes for 10 million Americans. Also, Obama has announced plans to “Honor American Seniors” by eliminating income taxes for those making less than $50,000 per year. This will provide immediate relief, he claims, to 22 million American seniors who will no longer need to file income tax returns and will eliminate any income tax for seven million seniors. So Mr. Obama has decided that there are 17 million voting Americans who will gladly pull the lever for him and it will only cost a few hundred billion dollars in gift cash and tax elimination for his special friends. The most amusing part of this expensive and unprecedented giveaway is that he has decided to call his plan….get this….his Tax Fairness Plan.

Hillary Clinton, Democratic presidential frontrunner announced her health care plan this week, a subject the former first lady has, for the most part, judiciously avoided since an initial illegal foray 13 years ago as wife to the then still-to-be impeached President, which ended disastrously. This time, she wants to require health insurance for all, using federal taxpayer money--$110 billion a year to help “offset” the cost, ignoring the reality that someone still has to pay for it.

I couldn’t help but to wonder why the average citizen thinks there’s no media bias as I watched impeached President Clinton on David Letterman’s show last night. This, only one week after Hillary had her own soft ball interview on the same show. Letterman, a very funny guy, turned off the humor as he attempted to modify the interview in the vain that this is a great moment in the history of television. In fact, it turned out to be little more then a commercial for Hillary’ presidential aspirations without the necessity of supplying fair and free broadcast time to her better qualified rivals.
