You don’t have to look any further than the state of New Jersey if you wish to see what America will look like with a Marxist-like President Obama.  A few weeks ago PreserveTheAmericanDream.com sponsored Bloggers Row of the first annual Defending the American Dream-New Jersey Convention and boy did we get an earful from the speakers.  New Jersey Governor Jon Corzine is about the closest comparison that one can make to Mr. Obama and his election promises.  Corzine, who bought the office of Governor with his incredible personal wealth, believes in continuously raising every type of taxes, unrestrained Government spending on welfare and other social programs, increasing the size of government and dishonoring the very people who elected him as Governor.  New Jersey is a microcosm of what America will look like with an Obama led Senate and Congress.  Read the following and weep, as you ready yourself for a potential Obama Presidency.  Here are only some of the FACTS:

1. As a result of ever increasing taxes, in 2007, New Jersey had the 5th lowest private job growth rate in the country, experiencing -.01% growth according to the Department of Labor.  Companies are leaving the state by the thousands and relocating where there is a much better chance of making a profit.

2. From 2000-2006, New Jersey had the 6th lowest growth in average wage per job.  Companies can’t afford to raise salaries if profits are going to pay corporate taxes.

3. About half of New Jersey adults say they expect to be no better off financially, or even worse off, next year.  High taxes eats up more than dollars, it also takes a tragic toll on positive thinking.

4. Between 2000-2006 New Jersey government spending grew 20% faster than its economy did.  With all that tax increasing, they’ve got to do something with all that extra money, even if there is little or no return.

5. 35 states had economies that grew faster than New Jersey’s during the same period.  High taxes can guarantee such dismal standings.

6. Had New Jersey’s economy grown at the national average of 14.5% since 2000, it would be nearly $20 billion larger today.  That’s $2,300 per state resident.

7. From 2000-2007, New Jersey had a net internal migration rate of (–377,159).  That means more than 375,000 more people moved out of New Jersey to other states, than moved in from other states.  Non-personal income-tax states like Florida are the recipient of many of those needing to find fairness.

8. In 2007, the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council, ranked New Jersey as the least friendly state to entrepreneurship.  Those who start businesses in New Jersey can’t profit with the high corporate and personal income tax rates in the state.  If a business happens to profit and sells for a premium, the State of New Jersey increases the personal income taxes of the owner-sellers by an outrageous 50%.

9. From 2000-2007, the Bureau of Labor Statistics found that New Jersey’s state and local governments added almost 59,500 jobs while the state’s private employers added only 20,000 jobs.  This shameful statistic is one of the reasons that New Jersey is not working.  Like Corzine, Obama is destined to increase the size of government exponentially.  Take a look at  www.AmericansforProsperity.org (hit New Jersey) to see the article and feast on the 12X24 foot Wall Of Pork that was introduced to the Democrats who run the state.

10. Since 1965, the Garden State’s debt has increased by 600%.  We can only imagine what Obama’s debt will look like if he accomplishes only a fraction of what he has proposed in the election season.

11. Democrat Jon Corzine and his Democrat predecessor, the newly gay Jim McGreevy have doubled New Jersey’s debt from $17 Billion to $38 Billion.  Most of this dubious distinction has been accomplished through borrowing against the future without voter approval, a clear violation of the Constitution.

New Jersey’s unrestricted spending, outrageous borrowing and over-taxation has led Assemblyman Michael J. Doherty to remind the Governor that New Jersey’s motto is Liberty and Prosperity, not Dictatorship and Tyranny!  This may seem overstated, but America is headed to a new type of Dictatorship if Obama gets near the oval office.  One only has to observe his responses to the few questions he endeavors to answer without relying on his overuse of the word, “change” with little explanation of what those changes would amount to. 

It was interesting to note recently in a nationally televised debate when ABC’s Charles Gibson reminded Obama that whenever Capital Gains taxes were cut that much more revenue poured into the IRS and that this was a certainty, not an opinion.  After stuttering as though he had received this information for the first time (a fact that should worry every American). Obama, in a bout of total ignorance of the facts, finally said that raising Capital Gains taxes was the fair thing to do for wealthier Americans.  It was an amazing Dictatorial moment, totally ignored by his friends and admirers who control the major media and it spoke chapters about what we can expect from an Obama Dictatorship.  He will do whatever he wants to fulfill his liberal ideology regardless of the supportive history and significant proof that the opposite of his opinions are true and best for America.  The American Dream as we know it will most assuredly dissipate if he is elected to the highest office in the world.

Mr. Obama is a leftist of the highest order.  He is a Marxist-thinker and he has the most liberal voting record in the Senate.  Next question?
