I remember watching the Tonight Show many years ago when Johnny Carson’s guest was the classic 50’s comic George Goble who was going on about how he just doesn’t understand the state of the youth culture and he felt so out of sync with them.  He delivered the line of the night that broke Johnny up to the point of tears when he said that “sometimes he feels like the whole world is a giant tuxedo and he was a brown pair of shoes.”  I now know exactly what he meant.  I think that tuxedo analogy best explains my personal feelings these days as I meet people who tell me that they are exceedingly comfortable with Barack Obama as President. 

I recently returned from a month-long trip to Australia and New Zealand, my first.  I was there at the time of the Presidential inauguration at home and I was astonished to meet throes of people who had nothing but wonderful accolades to proudly spew about our new President.  I couldn’t believe my ears as I was congratulated by complete strangers who wanted to pass along their cheers to salute my good luck to be an American at such an important time in the evolution of my country.  When I retreated to my hotel room I was force-fed CNN International’s constant re-education and realignment of history as they informed the people of the Southern Hemisphere their take of the Messiah, Obama.  I actually witnessed one CNN commentator saying that 80% of all Americans love Obama.  That’s the word he used, loved.  And then he qualified the statement by saying that such love of a President is unprecedented in any country, anywhere.  This is how much of the innocent people of two continents learned of Obama. 

I also couldn’t believe the headlines in the newspapers that took great pride at not only carrying the same torch but in aggressively putting down President Bush as the worse President who ever occupied the oval office.  It’s almost as though the impeached Bill Clinton never existed.  I don’t care who I talked to, even Americans who were visiting this far-away land had the opinion that Obama was the hero of the moment and that Bush sucked, and they said so in that way.  But none would tell me why; just that was what they heard.  I was particularly concerned about the accolades I heard from the enemies of America who chanted the same tune in unison.  Sydney and Melbourne, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand are the largest cities with the largest populations and are melting pots of a large population from Indonesia and the Middle East.  I met people from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Turkey, many of whom drove cabs or serviced tables and they all seemed to drink the same Pro-Obama Cool-Aid, but when questioned, none could tell me why they felt that way without demeaning President Bush.

I come back very confused and not really knowing how the Obama team pulled off this impressive pseudo-miracle.  I think it has everything to do with the Perfect Storm theory.  I’ll get back to that in a minute.  Everyone seemed to share the media’s point of view that Bush was an evil force and the American people were looking for a solution to the Bush “problem”.  I was hoping to change out of my brown shoes.  But, I jumped right back into them when I got home.  Nothing has change here, either.  It was all about Obama when I left and it’s all about Obama when I deplaned, home.  Or so it seems……

Let’s get serious here for the moment.  As I recall, the election of November 4th, 2008, was not a runaway for team-Obama.  I proudly belong to a large; no make that, very large contingency of fiscally right-thinking Americans-58 million souls who went to the polls that day and decided after thoughtfully weighing all the available facts to cast my vote AGAINST Obama.  Then why does it feel so desperate?  Why am I still wearing Brown Shoes?  Because in the brief history of America, there has never been such an onslaught of powerful Media favoritism as we are experiencing even after the election.

This is where the Perfect Storm comes in.  There is no doubt that Obama cheated.  You won’t hear that from the leftist Media because they are part-and-partial of the same scam.  The Media drove the getaway car.  All one need’s is to take a look at the evidence and be honest with one self.  We all know there were considerable shenanigans going on with the groups like ACORN.  We know they were bribing people to vote for Obama.  We know they were picking up homeless people and giving them a few bucks or cigarettes to vote for Obama.  We know that some ACORN people were caught red-handed on video tape proudly boasting that they were telling street people to vote for Obama.  We know that there were lawsuits against ACORN in multiple cities.  We know that ACORN was supported with Government money and was supposed to be unbiased and favor no one candidate.  We know that ACORN had the tenacity to officially endorse OBAMA at their convention, a clear illegal activity.  We know that large sums of money found its way into the ACORN organization directly form the OBAMA campaign.  We know that Obama actually worked with members of ACORN as an advising attorney, in the past.  We know that years ago Obama passed many thousands of dollars to Acorn after getting it from his terrorist friend, Bill Ayers.  And we know that the Media did NOT do its job in covering this story or revealing the truth to the American people.  All of this is truth, not exaggeration.  All of this has been substantiated.

No doubt, contributing to the Perfect Storm was the tepid showing of John McCain who just didn’t have the natural ability to connect to younger Americans.  Another Perfect Storm factor is the Media’s effective preoccupation with tearing down McCain’s running mate, Sarah Palin by attacking her personally and questioning her integrity and her family’s integrity.  This unprofessional behavior on behalf of the mainstream Media was unprecedented, showing their collective desperate state of mind.

A most important ingredient of the Perfect Storm however was the Democrat Party’s vested contribution to America’s dependence on social programs which was reaching a critical mass.  Democrat leaders realized in the 2000 election that their forced social programs even with an unattractive candidate like Al Gore were attracting close to 50% of voters. Who can forget how close that election was?  The Dems put a brilliant organization together to market the continuance of their social plans to younger Americans and simultaneously used organizations like ACORN to sell the concept.  All that was needed was an attractive candidate to pull off the nation-changing scam, effectively.  They found that candidate in Barack Obama, a relatively unknown who was groomed for the job.  The fact that he had virtually no experience and was mired in the political cesspool of Chicago politics was almost unimportant, with the power of the Media backing his every word.  The focus was consistent on selling the social programs which were marketed through class warfare attacks on business and the wealthy.    The fact that Obama is African American played perfectly in the plan as statistics from post-voting interviews showed over 95% of black voters pulled the lever for Obama.  This can only be explained as fanatic racism, a fact that was nonetheless unanimously ignored by the major Media outlets.  One can only imagine the mainstream Media’s interest in covering the story if 95% of all voters cast ballots for a candidate just because the candidate is white. 

However, the Perfect Storm was not complete yet.  Not without an enemy to hate.  The most powerful piece of the plan was a concerted effort by the mainstream Media to create doubt in the minds of the voters.  The agreed systematic way to go forth was to condemn President Bush.  There has never been such a concerted effort to cause doubt in the minds of voters as has been carried out against President George Walker Bush.  CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, CNBC, Newsweek, US World Report, Time, Business Week, New York Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Los Angeles Times, San Francisco Chronicle and just about every other newspaper covering the largest cities in the country created a likeness of Mr. Bush that was sad, ugly and biased.  They were joined by high-rated early morning news programs and late night entertainment programs.  David Letterman made a mockery of Mr. Bush every night of the week for two years.  This barrage of negative information put out a continuous negative impression that took place in billions of bits of information directly into the collective minds of the voting class.  This effort was so successful that often when defending Obama the non-thinking would spew how terrible had been the Bush administration, never consciously realizing that Mr. Bush was not running against Obama.  Even today, there is the latent need for most Obama devotees to still demonize Mr. Bush who is comfortably retired on his ranch.  The effect of the Media hate campaign against Mr. Bush was exceedingly successful and represents a sad chapter in the history of the unleashed power of the mass Media in America.  That’s why the rest of us feel like we are wearing brown shoes in a Tuxedo world.

All these ingredients added up to only a modest victory for Obama the candidate who is unprepared for the job as is indicated by the obvious lack of expertise that we have witnessed in his first month as President.  

-The decision to close down ideally suited Guantanamo Bay prison as his first Presidential doctrine makes little sense to anyone who understands the importance of keeping Americans safe.  But that dubious and ridiculous decision is now history and proudly supported by the mainstream Media.

-Not having an organized plan about how to handle the 425 terrorists before making such a decision is dangerous and ominous. 

-The decision not to pursue criminal proceedings against the terrorist, who is responsible for the bombing of the battleship Cole and killing American soldiers, was Obama’s next illogical and seemingly anti-American decision.  The list goes on. 

-Obama’s inability to fill seats in his cabinet shows amazing lack of control and organization in his vetting process.

-The numerous embarrassments of choosing candidates as cabinet members who have illegally avoided paying taxes demonstrate the total mindlessness of the people now in charge.

-We now have a person in charge of IRS collections who himself is a tax cheat.  We have another as chief of the Ways and Means tax writing committee who doesn’t pay his own personal taxes.

-The absence of demands for these tax cheats to pay up their taxes with interest and penalties demonstrates outrageous favoritism.

-The bloated stimulus package that couldn’t consciously be supported by more than a handful of moderate Republicans shows a total lack of partisan play. 

-Giving the responsibility of creating the stimulus package to members of the most liberal wing of the party, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid shows the leftist leaning direction that Obama will go.

-Giving congress less than 12 hours to read and understand the contents of the 1100 page stimulus package is nothing less then impossible.

-Giving Billions of dollars of American tax-paid money to industries like the auto manufacturers who have no plan to pay back is a sign of weakness and slants the country to a strange form of socialism.

-Constantly talking negatively about the marketplace is driving down the stock market to 6 year lows.  In fact the market is now down 7000 points since Obama won his party’s nomination and 17% in 2009 including 9% in January alone.

-Obama has promised transparency, ethics and a new way of doing things in Washington.  He is however delivering the opposite of all of that.

-As I write this there is news coming out in his own weekly radio address to the nation that Obama now wants to raise taxes on businesses to pay for his Trillion-dollars-plus spending program.  Nothing could be less expected than to raise taxes on businesses during an economic downturn

-He also wants to raise taxes on the wealthy by allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire, an amazing lack of understanding of how tax cuts work to bring much needed revenue into the treasury.

-He also wants to cut military spending in the midst of America’s defending herself in two wars.  Why does he want to do this?  So that he can cut the deficit he has caused in half by the time next Election Day rolls around.

It is clear to those who will be fair in their analysis that the one thing Obama has demonstrated that he does well, in fact, very well is to run for office.  He is perhaps the best there has ever been.  And that’s why while screwing up our traditions and the great founding father philosophies of America, he continues to run for office.  Every time he makes a speech or poses for the cameras looking very GQ, he is running for office.  But now he is running in the 2012 Presidential race.  And the more he can give away to the other 50 %, those who do not take responsibility, the more he betters his chance of winning the 2012 race also.

As long as he is President he can re-write the rules and demand that the 50% of us who are taking responsibility for our actions, decisions, families and futures, pay for the other 50%.  The more he can change our form of government from Capitalism to Socialism.  Welcome to the new America.  But, don’t take off your Brown shoes yet.
